Obituary
Maxine Eunice Thomas Popa, 86, of Grace passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014 after a long illness, surrounded by her loving husband Dallas and family.
She was born June 7, 1928 in Turner, ID to Elisha John and Ester Thomas.
She was raised in Turner and Attended school in Turner and Grace.
Maxine and Dallas were married August 20, 1949 in Turner and were sealed together August 20, 1957 in the Idaho Falls Temple.
She worked several years as Nurses Aid to the Hospital in Soda Springs. She and Dallas served two years as Temple Workers in the Logan Temple and one year as missionary workers at Chesterfield.
Maxine is survived by her husband Dallas and three children, Vaughn & Dana Popa, Kevin & Janet Popa, Paula & Stan Smith. She have 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 13 brothers and sisters, including Junior and Iona Thomas.
Services will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs. The family will visit with friends on Thursday morning from 12-12:45 at the Funeral Home prior to services.
