Obituary
Melvin Leroy Jones, 61, of Niter, Idaho passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at his home.
Melvin was born on March 11, 1951 in Sacramento, California the son of Albert C. and Doris Hack Jones.
He served in the United States Army during Vietnam.
Melvin married Marcia Hammer on June 8, 1973 in Schofield BKs, Hawaii.
They also lived in Herlong, CA, and Texas before moving to Grace, Idaho in August of 1988.
Melvin was a supporter of 4-H, FFA and Wildlife. He enjoyed fishing, horses, electronics and farming.
He is survived by his wife Marcia of Niter, ID, and one son, LeeRoy and Tonya Jones of Ririe, ID, and one daughter Becky and Jeremey Eldredge of Hazelton, ID. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, his mother Doris Kile of Vacaville, CA, and two sisters, Linda and Paul Favilla of Vacaville, CA, Donna and Larry Spears of Vacaville, CA. He was preceded in death by his father Albert Jones and a step-sister Kathy Jensen.
As his request, cremation services were held with no public services.
