Michael Emmett Durand passed away on December 27, 2018 after a long illness.

He was born in Wilmington, Delaware on January 24, 1959.

Michael was third of four children born to Richard L Durand and Leslie Chamberlain.

Mike loved the outdoors. He liked to fish, snowmobile and build things. He was a good photographer and enjoyed the many pictures of family and friends. He was always ready to help others when his health permitted. He was fond of cats and had some special cat friends.

He married Diane Heiner on November 20, 1981. They later divorced.

He is survived by daughter Lacie (Heath) Horner, sons, Shawn and Matthew Durand and three grandchildren, his mother, a sister, Gini Durand and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, brother David, a sister Sharon Cole and two children, son, Michael Scott and daughter Karlie.

As per his wishes, he was cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
