Obituary

Michael Paul Norris, 62, of Arimo, formerly of Chubbuck and Soda Springs, passed away Saturday the 13th of September, 2008 at home. He was born June 5, 1946 at Ogden, Utah, the son of Carl LaSelle and Barbara Sutton Norris.

He had also lived at Laketown, UT; Soda Springs, ID; Salt Lake City, UT; Coleville, Chubbuck for 32 years, and the past 5 months in Arimo.

He was a graduate of Soda Springs High School; he attended ISU; and graduated from LDS Business College in accounting.
Michael served in the U S Army from 1966 to 1968.

He married Ellen McNeil, January 21, 1969 in Soda Springs, they were later divorced.

He married Donna Shepard, April 21, 1973; they were later divorced.

He married Lois Kay Hyde, December 29, 1989 at Chubbuck, Idaho. She later passed away September 6, 2006.

Michael married Linda Garner, November 4, 2006 in Soda Springs.

He had worked for Monsanto and Simplot, retiring in 2001.
He was a High Priest in the Victory LDS Ward in Chubbuck.
Michael liked helping people. He also loved restoring classic old cars; enjoyed carpentry and was a member of the Classy Car Club in Pocatello.

Surviving is his wife of Arimo, Linda Garner Norris; a son Jon and Lori Norris, Salt Lake City, UT; 4 step-sons, Scott Howell, Daniel Somsen, Chubbuck, ID; Darwin Somsen, Pocatello, ID. Jim Somsen, Chubbuck, ID and 2 daughters; Kristy Norris, SLC, UT; and Lorri Hawking, Chubbuck, ID; also a step-daughter DaNae Somsen, Pocatello, ID. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren; his parents, Carl and Barbara Norris of Soda Springs; 2 brothers; David and Carol Ann Norris, Soda Springs and Jeffery and Cindy Norris, Orem, UT; and a sister, Ann and K. C. Bedingfield, West Jordan, UT.
He was also preceded in death by a son Don Carlos Norris.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, September 20th at 11:a.m. at the Soda Springs LDS 5th Ward Chapel located at 3rd East and 4th South. Burial was in the Randolph, Utah Cemetery.
