Mike Pabst, Sr passed away on April 8, 2023, at home. He was born on August 11, 1937 in Norwalk Connecticut to John William and Harriett Elizabeth Moore Pabst. He moved to Florida as a child.
Mike married Judith Ann Bell on May 17, 1958, in St. Petersburg-Pinellas, Florida. In 1974 Mike and Judy moved to Idaho with their children Michael and Chris.
Mike enjoyed competition shooting, gunsmithing, hunting, four-wheeling, camping, clearing trails as the "Trail Boss" for Caribou Trail Riders, building race cars racing dirt bikes, cars, and swamp buggies. He also enjoyed spearfishing and cave free diving.
Mike started M & R sports in 1978, which started out as a Yamaha, Honda & Polaris dealership. It later became an automotive repair shop, which he was very dedicated to, working until his last day.
Mike and Judy belonged to the Sheep Rock Muzzle Loader Club with the mountain man name of Slew Foot and Judy as Cypress.
Mike is survived by his wife Judy Pabst of Soda Springs, his son, Michael Pabst Jr (Tava Moore) of Soda Springs, and his daughter Chris (Randy) Watters of Pocatello, Idaho. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister.
The family will hold a public viewing on Thursday, April 13 from 6-8 at Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs. There will be a private graveside held at a later date at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
