Obituary
Minor L Thompson Sr., 74, of Bancroft, Idaho passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.
Minor was born on May 7, 1944 in Cookville, TN the son of William Collie and Dollie Morris Thompson.
He lived in Woodward Oklahoma for 20 years and then Rock Springs, Wyoming for 10 years and Bancroft, Idaho for 7 years and the last 3 years in LaBarge, Wyoming.
Minor married Mary Richardson in 1961 in Logan County Kentucky. They were later divorced.
He was a member of the Jehovah Witness.
He also worked for JOMAX on the natural gas pipeline. Minor enjoyed fishing, hunting, roping, watching John Wayne movies and especially enjoyed working.
He is survived by two sons, Minor L Thompson Jr. (Penelope) of Bancroft, ID, Tracy Andrew Thompson of Delta, UT, and two daughters, Tina Marie (David) Thoman of LaBarge, WY, Shannah Nichole (Kevin) Mitchell of Soda Springs, ID and a daughter-in-law Kami Thompson of Soda Springs, ID. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and one brother Franklin Morris Thompson. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Shane Thompson, and three brothers, William "Bill" Collie Thompson Sr., Elmer Thompson and Jerry Alison Thompson.
Services will be held on Monday, February 5, at 11 a.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs. Family will visit with friends on Monday 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
