Monte B. Hinckley, 56, of Soda Springs passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015 at his home. Monte was born on March 6, 1959 in Santa Cruz, California the son of Jay and Colleen Bodily Hinckley. He graduated from Butte High School in 1977 then attended Glazer School. Monte was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had been active in primary and was a seminary graduate. He was a life scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He married Donna VonFchriltz on September 11, 1978, they were later divorced. He married Laurie Connelly on October 25, 1996. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, darts, playing pool, and loved spending time with his family and friends and just being an outdoorsman. Monte is survived by his wife Laurie Hinckley, of Soda Springs, three sons, and two daughters, Brennen and Katie Hinckley of Nampa, ID, Bradley J. and Casey of Pocatello, ID, Jerry Petrella of Soda Springs, ID, Dawn and Larry Beeton of Soda Springs, ID, Laurie and Bob Covert of Pocatello, ID. He is also survived by 15 Grandchildren two brothers, Gordon (Melissa) Hinckley, Brian (Gerri) Hinckley and two sisters, Paula (Harold) Wilson, Asta (Dean) Atwood. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Soda Springs 5th Ward Chapel (361 South 3rd East). Family will visit with friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home (139 East 2nd South) and one Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to your favorite local charity. Listen to service
