Neil Roy Armstrong, born October 22 1956 to Paul Bennett Armstrong and Roberta Elizabeth Armstrong in Murray Utah. Neil lived with his parents and siblings in Kearns Utah for a year before moving to Gooding Idaho where they lived for three years. They then moved to Spokan Idaho where they lived for the next eight years. The family then moved three more times to Montpelier Idaho, Bountiful Utah and finally to Pocatello Idaho where Neil attended and graduated from Highland High school in 1974.

Neil moved to Soda Springs Idaho after graduation and got a job with Washington mining group. He had various jobs at the mine which included running shovel, surveying and mine manager. He stayed working at the mines for most of his working career.

Neil married Lori in 1976. They had two children together, Cory and Erin. Neil and Lori later divorced in 1979.

Neil then married Sheila in 1980. They shared three children together, Daniel, Darren and Carl. Neil and Sheila later divorced in 1988.

Neil married Travene on October 14 1989 and were married until Travene passed away on February 27 2023. They shared three children together, Byron, Thayne and Doug.

Neil enjoyed hunting, fishing, ocean fishing, softball, baseball, golf, tinkering with wood works, spending time with his wife and family and of course the Seattle Seahawks. He also enjoyed watching  his baseball team the Seattle Mariners. He loved going to Orofino to go elk hunting with his Mom, Dad and brother Glen Armstrong.

Neil passed away in Soda Springs Idaho on May 18 2023. Neil is preceded in death by his mother and father Paul Bennett Armstrong and Roberta Elizabeth Toofert, step mom Veldonna Armstrong and his loving wife Travene Ello Armstrong.

Neil is survived by his brother Glen (Karen) Armstrong of Riggins Idaho, Sister Paula (Rick) Laws of Rathdrum Idaho, his children Daniel Armstrong of Montpelier Idaho, Byron (Nicole) Armstrong of Phoenix Arizona, Cory (Mary) Armstrong of Polsen Montana, Darren (Nicole) Armstrong of Downey Idaho, Erin (Tony) Cate of Missoula Montana, Thayne (Lorraine) Armstrong of Idaho Falls Idaho, Carl (Chelsea) Armstrong of Soda Springs Idaho, Doug (Rebekah) Bragg of Pocatello Idaho and 20 grandchildren.

As per Neil's wishes he will be cremated and a celebration of life for Neil and Travene will be June 17 at Bailey Creek Clubhouse at 2:00 p.m
