Obituary

Norene Benson Bunn, 91; of Soda Springs passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs.

Norene was born May 18, 1918 in Newton, Utah the daughter of Emory Harold and Ella Parker Benson.

She graduated from North Cache High School in Richmond, Utah.
Norene married Stanley William Bunn on July 12, 1939 in the Logan LDS Temple in Logan, Utah. Stanley passed away August 10, 1996.

They lived in Conda, Idaho for 12 ½ years and Soda Springs for over 50 years.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and mostly worked with the youth in various positions. She had also served as Relief Society Counselor, instructor and was a faithful visiting teacher.

She was a member of the Conda ladies Club. She also loved to read, sew, crochet afgans, cann and cook.

Norene is survived by one daughter Debra and Layne Foxley of Rock Springs, WY; and a son-in-law Randy Thomas of Malad, ID. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and four sisters; Reda Jenkins, of Pocatello, ID; Leah Johnson of Smithfield, UT; Natalie Kidman of Ogden, UT; Gladys Brady of Orem, UT. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley and two daughters, LaWana Bunn and Susan Thomas.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Hooper LDS Ward Chapel in Soda Springs. The family will meet with friends on Friday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Church prior to services. The burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
