Norma Jane Harris, 83, passed peacefully & returned to our Heavenly Father and her loving husband, Don, on March 30, 2019.

On August 5, 1935 Norma was born Boise, ID, to Marion Callender and Sarah Little; she was their only child. Later her mother remarried, and she gained a stepbrother. Norma graduated from Boise High School, Boise Junior College and earned her bachelor's in accounting from the University of Idaho and then later received her Master's in Education from Idaho State University. She met Don Byrd Harris while attending University of Idaho, they married in Boise, ID on August 23, 1958. They were married 57 wonderful years.

Don & Norma made their home in Grace, ID where she taught in the High School for 46 years; 6 of those years were served as principal and 11 years as the Devilettes drill team advisor. Norma was also very active in the LDS church, she held many callings over the years including Ward and Stake Dance Director, Primary Teacher, Relief Society Teacher, Ward Librarian and she put together the ward Bulletin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Don. She is survived by her son Jeremy Alexander Harris and his wife Amelia and her three granddaughters, Adara Marie, Senedra Jane & Arell Lynn.

Norma touched many lives. She was such an amazing woman, teacher, wife, mother, grandmother. She was dearly loved by her family and will be missed. They couldn't be happier for her to be reunited with her husband & best friend.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 4 at 11 a.m. at the Thatcher-Williams Ward Church in Niter. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday evening at the Church from 6-8 p.m. and also Thursday morning 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Thatcher Cemetery.
