Obituary

Norma Lee Munro, age 83, passed away on April 29, 2014. She was born May 22, 1930 in Montpelier, Idaho to Virginia LaVon Bridges and Robert Lee Wallis. She lived in Los Angeles, CA. for a brief time as an infant and spent her early years in Montpelier, Idaho and the remainder or her childhood in or near Soda Springs, Idaho. Norma Lee married Orren Otto Munro on May 3, 1949. They made their home in Bailey Creek and Eight mile outside of Soda Springs. She remained there until a few years after her husband passed away after which she moved to Mesa, Az. where she lived until her passing. Norma Lee was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Orren Otto Munro and her son Allen. She is survived by her son Ken Munro and his wife, Susan Godfrey of St George, UT. Vicki Osterling –wife of the late Allen Munro of Soda Springs, ID. Daughters- Nadine Munro and her husband Gregory Baker of Spokane WA., Julie Munro Larsen and the late Kirk Larsen of Tigard, OR. , Joylene Munro Johnson and her husband David Johnson of Mesa, AZ, Christine Diliberti and her late husband Ron DiLiberti of Mossey Rock, WA. NormaLee is survived by 23 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren, and her sister Shirley Paetsch Christensen and her husband Richard Christensen of St George, UT. She had an amazing love of our Heavenly Father's creations and admired them daily. She was exceptionally talented at the art of embroidery and many individuals were recipients of her talent. She enjoyed travel and car rides. She loved singing, listening to music, playing in the Kitchen band, and whistling. NormaLee was knowledgeable in the healing herbs, was very adept at canning and taking care of baby animals. Norma Lee was an active lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, She served in various callings'. She enjoyed being a part of the ward choir. She served in the Logan temple and the Mesa Arizona temple. She had a strong testimony and lived what she believed. She loved our Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ with all her heart. She loved doing service for others, especially the elderly. Thank you our dearest mother, grandmother and friend, for your devotion and fine example. We love you eternally and will miss you very much. Viewing for NormaLee Munro will be at Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs, ID on Thursday May 8th from 7:00- 8:00 p.m. and at the LDS 5th ward building on in Soda Springs. 9:00 a.m. -10:30 a.m. (361 South 3rd East) on Friday prior to services. The funeral will be held at the LDS 5th Ward building at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9th. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
