Obituary
Olive LaRee Peterson, 81; of Grace passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at her home in Grace.
LaRee was born October 9, 1929 in Paris, Idaho the daughter of Samuel Wilford and Olive Passey Lewis.
She was raised and educated in Paris and graduated from Fielding High School in Paris.
LaRee married Don J. Peterson on October 10, 1947 in Paris, Idaho. He passed away on December 2, 1996.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed reading her scriptures and attending the temple when her health permitted.
She loved spending time gardening and also liked to crochet, read and watch the Utah Jazz Basketball games. She was a kind loving person, a great mother, grandmother and friend to all. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters, Brent Peterson of Roy, UT; Kevin and Jackie Peterson of Grace, ID; Randal and Susie Peterson of Grace, ID; Steve and LaNae Dorman of Salem, OR; Cory and Kayleen Parkinson of Wellsville, UT. She is also survived by14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, one brother Joseph Lewis of Montpelier, ID; and one sister Nelda McDonald of Huntington Beach, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband Don, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center. The family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Grace Stake Center and also on Saturday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Stake Center prior to services. Burial will be in the Grace Cemetery.
