Orval Clem "Junior" Howarter Leissring, 77, of Bancroft, Idaho passed away Friday, October 5, 2018.

Junior was born July 11, 1941 in Fairbury, Nebraska. His parents are Charles Clifton and Beatrice Lucille Spear Leissring.

He joined the United States Army and served in the 82nd Airborne in Korea.

Junior married Linda Ethel Cagle on March 24, 1967 in Pocatello, ID. She passed away on September 23, 2017.

He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and during his job they moved a lot. They had lived in Downey, American Falls, Chubbuck, Dubois and in 1985 they settled down in Bancroft, ID.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had served as Cub Scout Leader when his son Jeff was in Scouts.

Junior was an avid hunter. He loved reloading ammunition. He could be found quite often at the reloading press but his biggest interest has always been family. He believed in quality time with family.

He is survived by three sons and three daughters, Jeff (Melissa) Leissring of Soda Springs, ID, Jay (Joy Murphy) Leissring of Pocatello, ID, Tony Cruz of Bancroft, ID, Nadine (Mike) Kelsey of Grace, ID, Robin (Todd) Burgin of Lava Hot Springs, ID, Mary Wright of Bancroft, ID. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, a brother Donald (Ann) Howarter of Pocatello, ID, and a sister Betty Noble of Pocatello, ID.
He was preceded in death by his wife Linda, two brothers, Raymond Howarter, Robert Howarter, and four sisters, Shirley Howarter, Iola Nadene Cruz, Mary Bacon and Virginia Eggers.

It was Juniors wish not to have a Funeral Service. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 10 at Noon at the Bancroft Cemetery. Family will visit with friends on Wednesday at the Bancroft LDS Chapel from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to going to the cemetery.
