Venna "Pat" Green Godfrey, 90; of Soda Springs passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 in Boise, Idaho.

Pat was born October 24, 1921 in Oakley, Idaho the daughter of Sam and Vivian Green McMurray.

She was raised and educated in Pocatello, ID.

Pat served her country during World War II in the 4135th AAF BU WAC.

In 1950 she married George Godfrey and lived in Lava Hot Springs for 6 years. They then moved to Soda Springs in 1956 where she lived until health issues required her to live with her son and daughter-in-law. In August she moved to Boise, Id to be with her daughter.

She was a member of the Living Waters Full Gospel A.G.

For many years Pat participated in and attended American Legion meetings and events. Being a veteran, she was very patriotic.

Pat also enjoyed playing pinnocle, reading books, crocheting and most of all watching Major League baseball games.

She is survived by her son Dennis R. and Linda Hoopes Godfrey of Soda Springs, ID; and her daughter Patricia Godfrey Weighall of Boise, ID. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Wilford Green of Smithfield, UT; Murray Green of Pocatello, ID. She was preceded in death by her husband George, a brother Alan Green and three sisters, Alta Bingham, Arleen Bennett and LaRae Fitizen.

As Pat wished, she was cremated and memorial services will be held at a later date.
