IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paul Nuffer
Christensen
March 19, 1932 – March 18, 2019
Paul Nuffer Christensen passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 18, 2019, a day before his 87th birthday.
Paul grew up in Central, Idaho and attended the one room schoolhouse. He graduated from Grace High School in 1950 where he served as Student body president. He attended BYU and Utah State. While at Utah State, he met and married his sweetheart, Winnifred Loosle in the Logan Temple, which was the start of a wonderful relationship of 67 years. The thing he deemed the most important was his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa and in-law – always encouraging, never meddling, never saying too much, qualities we can all learn from. He loved each of his family members individually in simple meaningful ways.
He was always active in church and scouting and served as counselor in the bishopric and bishop of the Grace 2nd ward. He loved flying, and earned his pilot's license at the age of 15. Other interests included woodworking, skiing, welding, repairing broken things, boating and attending the temple.
He is survived by his wife, Winnifred Christensen of Grace, Idaho, Paula (Scott) Eddington, Roy, UT, Renee (Raun) Jensen, Othello, WA, Pamela (Wade) Clark, Soda Springs, ID, Kerry Long, Memphis, TN, Lisa (Hans) Redd, Sugar City, ID, John (Nichole) Christensen, Pocatello, ID, Jason (Michelle) Christensen, St. Louis, MO. 42 grandchildren, and 81 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by son, Lynn and daughter, Amy Long and grandchildren, Stuart and Anna Redd, and great grandson, Stephen Lott.
The funeral will be held March 26th at 12 noon in the Grace Stake Center. Family will visit with friends Monday evening from 6-8 and Tuesday from 10:30-11:30 at the church. Burial will follow in the Central Cemetery.
