Pauline L. Johnson, 77; of Salem, Oregon passed away Wednesday June 4, 2008 in Keizer, Oregon.
She was born in Tetonia, ID September 6, 1930 where she grew up. She lived in Idaho, Montana and Washington until moving to Mehama in 2003, and finally to Salem 2 years ago.
Pauline worked for 25 years as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the Telephone Pioneers and the Bonneville Mounted Posse. Pauline enjoyed horses and horseback riding, crafts, going to the movies, farm life, and a true country atmosphere. She dearly loved her kids and grandkids.
Pauline married Merlin Johnson on February 8, 1960 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, he preceded her in death in 1997.
She is survived by her Son: Mike Johnson of Spokane, WA, and Daughter: Pam Philippi of Mehama; Sister: Darlene Moffat of Afton, WY. and grandchildren: Stephen Philippi, Seth Philippi and Ellen Burgess.
Services will be Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Bancroft LDS Chapel in Bancroft, ID. Family will meet with friends on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Interment will be in Chesterfield Cemetery in Chesterfield, ID.
