Pearl Stock Fryar, 92, of Soda Springs passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at her home peacefully and surrounded by her family. She was born June 27, 1920 in St. Charles, Idaho. She was the third of five daughters of George Pointz and Cora Elizabeth Stock. Pearl graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology. She studied basic hospital administration at Columbia University, New York. Pearl married Frank Fryar on August 14, 1942. They bought and ran the Fryar Hotel for many years. Pearl worked as a lab technician at the Caribou Memorial Hospital and later became its Administrator. She was the Administrator of the Caribou Memorial Hospital for 25 years. Pearl was instrumental in getting the new hospital built. She was very involved in the American Hospital Association. She received their citation for Meritorious Services. Pearl testified before Congress 6 times supporting small hospitals in rural communities. After retiring, Pearl traveled extensively and spent time with her family and friends at Bear Lake. She was a very important part of her grandchildren's lives, and supported them in their missions, education, and various life activities. Pearl was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Pearl is survived by her son Michael and Lori Fryar of Gresham, OR. She is survived by 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Frank, son Charles and her parents and sisters. Services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center. The family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Stake Center and on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Stake Center prior to services. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs. Listen to Service:
