William Philip "Phil" Hansen, 84, of Lago, passed away Monday, October 6, 2008 in Logan, Utah.

He was born Sept 7, 1924 at Lago, the son of Alfred Peter and Adelia Bassett Hansen.

He married Madge Allen, 1944 in Ogden, Utah. She passed away in 1945.

He married Carol Meacham, November 30, 1950 in Soda Springs. She passed away January 21, 1996.

He married Barbara S Cardon June 18, 1997 in Soda Springs.

Phil was raised and educated in Lago. He had also attended trade school.

He served during WWII in the U S Army. Phil received the Bronze Star for his service in the South Pacific.

He was a rancher and welder, and also worked with heavy equipment and industrial custom cutting.

Phil was a member of the Williams LDS Ward.

He was a member of the Grace American Legion; and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, playing pool and riding horses.

Phil is survived by his wife Barbara S Cardon Hansen, Lago, 3 sons, 1 step-son, 3 daughters and 2 step-daughters.

Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 1 sister; Clarence (Bud) Hansen, Mesa, AZ; Stanley D Hansen, Tonasket, WA and Dorothy Turner, Shelly, ID.

He was also preceded in death by an infant and a son Van Charles Hansen and a brother Dallas Alfred Hansen.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, October 11th at Noon at the Thatcher-Williams Ward Chapel in Niter. Burial was in the Lago Cemetery with Military Honors.
