Rae Lee Faulkner, 79, of Bancroft, Idaho passed away on April 10 th , 2023 in Pocatello Idaho surrounded by loved ones.
Rae Lee was born on February 12, 1944, in Glendale, California to Sylvia June Barnes and Norris Lewis Guidinger. Rae Lee started out life in California and then moved to Lorenzo, Idaho. Rae Lee attended school in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School.
Rae Lee attended Idaho State University where she was introduced to her husband, Monty Edmund Faulkner, by her college roommate. They were later married in Lorenzo, Idaho on September 2, 1966. They would go on to celebrate 50 years of marriage together.
Rae Lee went to work with the Pocatello Police Department. After two death's in the Faulkner Family, Mont and Rae Lee moved to Chesterfield to manage the family ranch where they raised cattle and farmed for many years.
After moving to Bancroft, she was employed by Western Farm Service, Caribou County Farm Service Agency and the Bancroft school lunch program. Rae Lee was very proud of working the elections counting votes and working at the Caribou County Fair. Mont and Rae Lee were very proud of their hard work and dedication to decorating and upkeep of the Christmas lights at Teuscher Square.
Rae Lee loved her family and was very proud of them. Her and Mont encouraged their kids to pursue and complete higher education. Even in her last days, she told everyone she spoke with about her family and how proud of them she was. She and Mont will be fondly remembered by their grandchildren for the day-trips they took together when they spent time in Bancroft.
She is survived by her daughter, Donielle (Trent) Whitney of Chubbuck, ID and son Ryan (Becca) Faulkner of Idaho Falls, ID, two grandchildren, Ashlee (Kooper) and Zachary Whitney. Sisters, Marilyn (Burt) Sommer, Hibbard, ID & Faye (Delbert) Bills, Colorado Springs, CO.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sisters, Arlene (Bill) Drake and Grace (Dennis) Wright.
Services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 12 pm at the Bancroft LDS chapel. Family will visit with friends and family prior to the services from 10:30 to 11:30. Burial will be at the Chesterfield Cemetery at a later date.
