Obituary

Ralph Emil Stoor, 68, returned to his Heavenly Father Saturday, December 30, 2012 in Las Vegas, NV. He was born June 14, 1944 in Soda Springs, ID. He was the son of the late Emil and Alice Stoor. He was a lifetime resident of Wayan and Soda Springs. He graduated from Soda Springs High School in 1962 where he was the student body president and active in football, basketball, and track. He married his wife, Linda Bevins, September 26, 1964. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many capacities in the Grays Lake Ward. He served as the bishop, elders quorum president, and a stake high councilman. He loved living in the Grays Lake Valley and enjoyed the family ranch. He owned and operated the family ranch raising cattle. He later sold his cattle and began working at the Grays Lake National Wildlife Refuge. He worked there for many years retiring in 2011. Ralph loved to calf and team rope and anything to do with the rodeo sport. He was a PRCA calf roper. He and his wife Linda hosted the Grays Lake Rodeo for 35 years. He enjoyed four wheeling, camping, horse packing in the wilderness, he loved attending his grandchildren's activities and spending time with them and his children. He and his wife Linda enjoyed spending the last two winters in Bullhead City, AZ. He is survived by his wife Linda Lee Bevins Stoor of Wayan, ID, son Tod Ralph Stoor of Great Falls, MT, son Shawn Emil Stoor (Tonya) of Cedar City, UT., daughter Shannon Kimberlee Stoor Steele (Justin) of Soda Springs, ID., and Son Brandon D. Stoor (Angela) of Soda Springs, ID. He is the grandpa of 15 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Emil and Alice Stoor, brother Don Jay, mother and father-in-law Delbert and Ula Bevins. Brothers-in-law Jay L. Davis, and Daniel Bailey. Sisters-in-law Shauna Bevins and Bonnie Bailey. A nephew Michael Dye. Services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2012 at noon at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center (290 South 3rd West). The family will meet with friends on Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Stake Center prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs. Listen to service:
