Randy Dee Lester, 60, of Grace, passed away Monday, June 16, 2008 at home. He was born October 19, 1948 at Evanston, Wyoming the son of Orval G. and Clara Druesilla Passey Lester.
He was raised and educated in Bancroft, Idaho, graduating from North Gem High School. He had also lived in Salt Lake City, Utah and the past 28 years in Grace.
He married Mary Elaine Johnson, August 6, 1980 at Pocatello, Idaho.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Caribou County Road and Bridge.
Randy was a member of the Grace LDS 1st Ward.
He was a member of the Gold Prospecting Association of America; the North American Fishing Club; The Bass Anglers Sportsman Society and the Handyman Club of America.
He enjoyed woodworking, was a craftsman, a mechanic, prospecting, fishing, gardening, cooking and herbal remedies.
Randy is survived his wife Mary Lester of Grace; 2 sons and 1 daughter; Shane and Leslie Lester, Evanston, WY; Randy and Kori Lester, Grace, ID and Heather Lester of Salt Lake City, UT. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren 5 brothers and 5 sisters; Grant P Lester, Soda Springs, ID; Darrell Lester, Bancroft, ID; Reid Lester, Grace, ID; Bill Lester, Bancroft, ID; Joe Lester, Bancroft, ID; Jeanelle Hayes, Georgetown, ID; Joyce Collins, Bancroft, ID; Virginia Collins, Grace, ID; Terri May Sibbett, Nashville, TN; and Mary Bischoff, Downey, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ida Lester.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, June 21st at Noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center. Burial was in the Bancroft Cemetery.
