Ray Hall Lloyd, 84, of Grace, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at home.
He was born February 11, 1924 at Central, Idaho the son of Henry Haslam and Maud Gunnell Hall Lloyd.
The family moved from Central, Idaho to Wellsville, Utah where they lived until his 6th grade school year. They then moved to Grace, Idaho where he finished his education and graduated from Grace High School in 1942.
He served an LDS Mission to New Zealand from 1946 to 1948. He married Barbara Smith, September 19, 1952 in the Logan LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in various positions such as Bishop of both the Grace 1st and 2nd Wards; Stake High Council; Stake Mission President and other callings.
He worked for Monsanto for 32 years, retiring March 8, 1987.
He represented Caribou County for a number of years as a Southeastern Idaho Health Department Board Member and served on the Grace Cemetery Board.
He enjoyed his relationships with family, friends, neighbors, and associates which also included a little fishing.
Ray is survived by his wife Barbara Lloyd, Grace, ID; 1 son and 3 daughters; Scott S (Diane) Lloyd, SLC, Utah; Leslie (Stanley) Johnson, American Fork, UT; Susan Kimball, Grace, ID and Stephanie (Kasey) Christensen, Riverton, UT., also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren 2 brothers; 2 sisters 1 brother-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law; Tom Lloyd (Mary Ann), Logan, UT; Grant Lloyd (Marco), Wayan, ID; Donna Stoddard (Frank), and Ann Randall both of Grace, ID; Dee L. Andreasen, Grace, ID; Diane Lloyd and Joylene Lloyd all of Grace.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law, LaRon Kimball; Sisters, Etheleen Andreasen and Bernice Hogan and a brother Merrill Lloyd.
Funeral Services were conducted on Monday, September 1st at Noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center. Burial was in the Grace Cemetery.
