Richard Allen Greenslade, 83, of Soda Springs passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at the Caribou Memorial Living Center.

He was born on November 24, 1935 on Thanksgiving Day in Portland, Oregon the son of Harry Charles and Marion Agnes Edwards Greenslade. He lived most of his childhood in Portland. When he was a teenager he enlisted in the Army where he spent some time in Munich, Germany. After his honorable discharge he eventually joined the Boilermakers Union where he traveled to different jobs all over the West eventually making his home in Soda Springs, Idaho where he met the love of his life Marian in 1985. They eventually enjoyed wintering in Quartzsite, AZ spending many hours hunting for rocks and prospecting for gold.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, motorcycling, boating, gold prospecting, hunting for and polishing rocks.

He is survived his wife Marian S. Longenbohn Lester Greenslade of Soda Springs, ID, four sons and two daughters, Thomas Greenslade of McMinnville, OR, Charles and Tina Greenslade of Vancouver, WA, Greg and Danna Murray of Soda Springs, ID, Bruce and Cindy Murray of Soda Springs, ID, Brenda Greenslade and Mitch Wolfe of Goldendae, WA, and Brenda and Alan Wyler of Soda Springs, ID. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the 1st Ward Bailey Creek LDS Chapel. Family will visit with friends on Monday morning at the Church from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Grace Cemetery with Military Honors.
