Robert M Clark of Soda Springs passed away February 27, 2009, doing what he loved, snowmobiling with his brother and friends. Robert had a great sense of humor, he was extremely kind and giving to young and old alike. Robert had a love of running, and he helped coach the Soda Springs High School Cross Country team. He will be remembered for running and biking alongside numerous athletes coaching and encouraging them until they reached the finish line.
Robert loved to do things with his family. They ran and ran and ran together, water and snow-skied together and laughed and loved together. He often joked about being surrounded by women, but he truly loved his wife and daughters and was extremely proud of them and their accomplishments.
Robert was a great entertainer and comedian! He sang, he danced, he made everyone around him laugh. He was extremely musical. He will be remembered for playing his guitar, singing the songs he had written, and making us laugh til we cried. We are still debating which song was our favorite, "My Dog Rusty," "Mokie and His English Gal," or "Nag, Nag, Nag."
He was born in Logan, Utah, the son of Marion and Janice Clark. He was the third of their four children. He was raised in Soda Springs, and graduated from Soda Springs High School in 1980. He served in the London East Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He later attended Ricks College, where he met and later married Sue Chandler on June 18, 1987, in the Boise Temple. They have three beautiful daughters, Kaycie, 18; Quincie, 16; and Sydnie, 12.
He was currently serving as the 1st Ward Elder's Quorum President, and he previously served in the Stake Sunday School presidency, activities chairman., and as Sunday School and Primary teachers.
He worked at the Monsanto facility in Soda Springs for the past 20 years. Robert was loved by all who knew him. We will remember his love, his kindness, his concern for others, and his zany wit, his facial expressions, his body contortions, and his dancing!
He is survived by his loving wife Sue Chandler Clark and his three lovely daughters, of Soda Springs; his parents Marion and Janice Clark; and siblings Lyle (Melanie) Clark, Zanesville, Ohio; Wade (Pam) Clark, Soda Springs; Patti (Kurt) Norgard, Pocatello, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews.
