Obituary

Robert Vernon Hardy, 60; passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011 at his home in Grace, ID.

Robert was born on January 1, 1951 in Ogden, Utah the son of Golden LaMar and Darlene Iris Hemmert Hardy.

He was raised in Grace, Idaho and graduated from Grace High School. He also attended a year at Steven Henagar College in Ogden, Utah.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Robert married Sue Weaver on November 22, 1978 in Elko, Nevada.

He attended the 2nd Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Grace.

He was a member of AA and a board member of the Oregon Trail Golf and Country Club.

Robert was an avid outdoorsman and golfer. He had countless hours of video bear hunting and he just loved spending time in the outdoors. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife and family and especially being with his grandkids and also camping, 4-wheeling, walking, gardening and quilting.

He is survived by his wife Sue of Grace, ID; and three sons, Chad and Tammy Weaver of Grace, ID; Derrick Hardy of Grace, ID; Vernon and Lindsay Hardy of Franklin, ID. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, one brother Curtis Hardy and two sisters, Cheryl Schow; Lori Nelson. He was preceded in death by his parents Golden and Darlene Hardy and father Vernon Fox and also his grandparents.

Services will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Noon at the Grace Stake Center. The family will visit with friends on Monday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs and on Tuesday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Stake Center prior to services. Burial will be in the Grace Cemetery.
