Obituary
James Roger Rose, 72; of Soda Springs passed away Monday, November 23, 2009 at his home.
Roger was born March 30, 1937 in Rigby, Idaho the son of Alma and Verna May Lufkin Rose.
He was raised on a ranch in Humphrey, Idaho with 11 siblings, seven brothers and four sisters.
Roger moved to Soda Springs with his young family and worked for Simplot. In the early 80's he moved to Hermiston, Oregon. He moved back to Soda Springs in November of 2008 to be close to his children.
He married Earlene Larue Holden in 1959. They were later divorced.
He married Shirley Swenson on July 15, 1973. They were later divorced.
Roger loved hunting, fishing, reading and playing cards. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by one son and three daughters, Dusty and Darla Rose of Soda Springs, ID; Travene and Neil Armstrong of Denver, CO; Becky and Rick Christensen of Ogden, UT; and Sally and Craig Hill of Soda Springs, ID. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and a lifelong friend Josephine Horn and one brother Lynne Rose.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.
Graveside services were held in the Humphrey Cemetery in Humphrey, Idaho at 1 p.m. on Novmeber 28, 2009.
