Ruth Marie Parson Curry, beloved wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister, and friend, passed away at the age of 73 surrounded by her family on June 3, 2017, in Salt Lake City.
Born March 7, 1944, Ruth was the oldest of nine children of Glenn and Marcella Parson. She married Thomas Curry on Sept. 5, 1962, in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. Her life revolved around her 8 children, 33 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Ruth was an accomplished cook, seamstress, quilter, and homemaker. She enjoyed canning and cooking home-grown fruits and vegetables from the family garden. She instilled in her children a deep love of music, and she took great delight in hearing her children and grandchildren share their musical talents.
Ruth was preceded in death by her brother Norman and her mother Marcella. She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, father, and several siblings. Ruth will be greatly missed by many who loved her dearly.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 17 at 3 p.m. at the Soda Springs First Ward LDS Chapel in Soda Springs, Idaho. The family will receive visitors from 2:00-2:45 p.m. prior to the services.
