Ruth Kopetzky, 82, of Grace passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. Ruth was born on June 14, 1930 in Sidney, Nebraska the daughter of George and Lillian Wilson Siders. She graduated from high school in Sidney, Nebraska. Ruth married Philip James Kopetzky on January 8, 1949 in Sidney, Nebraska. He passed away on November 9, 2002. She has lived in various places in Nebraska till they moved to Bancroft, Idaho in 1969. She later made her home in Grace with her husband Phil in 1971 where she has lived for 40 some years. Ruth was an active member of the Catholic Church. She loved to send greeting cards loaded with stickers to anyone with a sniffle. She also liked talking on the phone and she also collected Avon Bottles, turtles and dolphins. She cooked for many years at Turners Cafe and the Blue Bell Cafe where she enjoyed visiting with the people. She is survived by one son, James and Shanna Kopetzky of Pocatello, ID, and three daughters, Rita and Emmorn Dodds of Grace, ID, Deb Jones of Jackpot, NV, Shirley and David Miles of Grace, ID. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Georgia Hawkins, Wanita Lloyd and Cynthia Michaels. She was preceded in death by her husband Phil, a daughter Kathy Prudhomme and a grandson Anthony Kopetzky. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the St. Mary's Good Sheppard Catholic Church in Soda Springs (99 West Center St.). The family will visit with friends on Sunday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs and on Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 am. at the Funeral Home prior to going to the Church for services.
