Obituary

Ruth Marie Moses Bell, 95, of Niter, Idaho passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at her home. Ruth was born on July 11, 1917 in Logan, Utah the daughter of Wilford Newton and Carrie Inger Thomas Moses. She married Harry Willard Bell on December 20, 1941 in Beverly Hills, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple on December 20, 1956. Harry passed away on April 6, 2005. She graduated from UCLA in 1940 and taught home economics in High School and Jr. High. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Ruth and Harry served an 18 month mission in the Kentucky Louisville Mission and she served in Stake and Ward Relief Society positions and primary and music. Ruth was also a Girl Scout Leader, Pink Lady and a member of the Daughter of Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, music, traveling and being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and spending time with her family. Ruth is survived by two sons, James Lee and Carol Bell of Queen Creek, AZ, Scott Woodruff and Michelle Bell of Ogden, UT, and two daughters, Sharan (Cheri) Marie and Clinton Peck of Niter, ID, and Susan Louise and Kay Bitton of Wichita, Kansas. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren and one sister Carol Jean Moses Grant of Orem, UT. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother-in-law Wallace B. Grant and a great-grandson LaVoy Bell. Services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Noon at the Thatcher-Williams Ward Chapel in Niter. The family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Thatcher-Williams Ward Chapel and on Saturday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be at the Lago Cemetery. Listen to service:
