Ruthine Jane Thornock, 74, of Soda Springs formerly of Grace passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008 at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. Ruthine was born June 10, 1934 in Soda Springs the daughter of Neals A. and Ruth Mae Johnson Christensen. She was raised and educated in Chesterfied and also lived in Pocatello, Grace and Soda Springs the past few years at the Caribou Memorial Living Center.
She had married Tomas Edward Comer, they were later divorced.
Ruthine married Ralph Thornock, November 16, 1984 in Preston, Idaho. He passed away November 1, 2006.
She was a member of the Grace LDS 2nd Ward. Ruthine enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, embroidering, camping, fishing, scrap booking and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters; Eddie and Melissa Comer of Pocatello; Clark Taylor of Grace; Candy Fisher of Boise; Penny Herrera of Salt Lake City, UT; also 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; five stepsons and three step daughters; David and Trudy Thornock of Afton, WY.; Gene & Stacey Thornock; Donald and Molly Thornock of Pocatello; Richard and Glenda Thornock of Grace; Larry and Teresa Thornock of Etna, WY.; Bonnie and Ken Potter ; Ethel and Anthony Senn; Raelynn and Mauro DelaRosa all of Grace. Also two brothers and three sisters; Carl John Christensen of Pocatello; Madds and JoAnn Christensen, Soda Springs, ID; Emma Jean and Alton Hatch, Bancroft, ID; Marie and John Brown, Twin Falls, ID; and Coraleen Winkley, SLC, UT. She was also preceded in death by her parents, l daughter, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, June 26th at Noon at the Bancroft LDS Chapel. Burial was in the Chesterfield Cemetery. The Family would appreciate donations to Sims Funeral Home to assist with services.
