Scott Packer Bennett, 52; of Grace passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010 at his home in Grace.

Scott was born on March 18, 1958 in Preston, Idaho the son of William Lane and Ina Packer Bennett.

He was raised in Preston and attended Preston High School. He lived in Preston until 1988 when he moved to Grace where he has lived for the past 22 years.

Scott was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He married Nancy Wickham on February 21, 1980. They were later divorced.

He enjoyed fishing, tying flies, hunting, camping and other outdoor activities. He also liked to draw. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Scott is survived by his daughter, Nicole and Rusty Mortenson of Soda Springs. He is also survived by two step-grandchildren and two brothers, Kelly and Ranae Bennett of Grace, ID; Louis Bennett of Logan, UT; and four sisters, Peggy and John Parker of Challis, ID; Sheryl and David Nelson of Nibley, UT; Julie and Neal Butler of Orafino, ID; Bonnie and Ronnie Bevins of Soda Springs, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents William "Bud" and Ina Bennett, a brother Lane Bennett and two sisters Cindy Dunkley and Mitzi Bosworth and a niece Allison Hunsaker-Chatterton.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Grace LDS Stake Center in Grace, Idaho. The family will meet with friends on Friday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Stake Center prior to services.
Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in his name at the US Bank in Soda Springs.
