Sharon Marie Rasmussen McGee, 82, of Soda Springs passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017.

Sharon was born on January 11, 1935 in Glasgow, Montana the daughter of Alston Emanuel and Violet Evelyn McMurdo Rasmussen.

She had 2 daughters with her first marriage.

She married Wayne (Mick) McGee on September 3, 1971 in Kalispell, MT. He passed away on July 29, 2007.

She had lived in Whitefish, MT, Kalispell, MT, Cheyenne, WY, Springfield, VA, and Soda Springs, ID. She moved to Soda Springs in 1974 retired and moved back to Kalispell, MT in 2004 until her husband passed away in 2007 when she moved to Soda Springs, ID to be closer to Linda and her family.

She attended Montana State University, University of Montana and Carroll College and obtained degrees in Psychology and Music.

Sharon was a member of Community of Christ Church all of her life. She was organist, pianist, choir leader and youth leader and young adult leader and taught various classes throughout the years.

She was a girl scout leader and PTA President. She belonged to the Guild of Organist and did some work with Easter Seals. After moving to Soda Springs, ID her and her husband opened McGees Radiator Shop.

Sharon spent years working in government with the Forest Service and on moving to Virginia she worked for the Dept. of Defense as secretary and file clerk for Robert MacNamara, Secretary of Defense. This was the job highlight of her life. After moving to Soda Springs, ID she went to work for Conda Mining Co. out to Beker Ind. For 13 years then at Utah Power and Light for 10 years at the Grace, ID plant.

She loved church and music and being with friends and family and playing card games. She loved getting to know people. She cherished all her family at Edgewood Assisted Living Center and loved her Grand pets and made sure they all got Christmas presents every year and kept up with family by dropping them little notes in the mail.

She is survived by two daughters, one step-daughter, and two step-sons, Susan (Mike) Wilson of Fredericksburg, TX, Linda (Joe Hulse) Cotton of Soda Springs, ID, and Micky (Kathy) McGee of Las Vegas, NV, Terry McGee of Las Vegas, NV and Mylissa McGee of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 11 grand puppies, one grand cat a grand mule and a grand donkey, one brother, , Arlee Alston (Hazel) Rasmussen, two sisters, Ardis Maren Anderson, Merry Lu (Lynn Hammersley) O'Hare and a Sister-in-law, Diana (Walt) Stoller. She was preceded in death by brothers Arlen Ellsworth Rasmussen, James William Wert Rasmussen, son-in-law Mike Wilson and a granddaughter, Caroline Wilson Winters and four grand puppies Madeline Bernice Wilson Winters, Keesha Meccico, Dozer Meccico and Puppy.

Per her wishes she was cremated and services will be held at a later date.
