Obituary

Sheila Smale Call, 99; of Bancroft passed away, Sunday, March 27, 2011 in Soda Springs at the Spring Creek Manor.

Sheila was born, October 10, 1911the daughter of Dr. John Smale and Maud Stribley Smale in Darlington, County Durham, England.

She grew up in England were she attended private school (Society of Friends). She also studied Ballet and Dance. She later emigrated to the United States in 1950 and she lived in various states and has lived in South Eastern Idaho for the past 50 years.

She married John W. L. Pugh on April 29, 1933 in Clonmel, Waterford, Ireland. They later divorced in 1954.

She married Charles C. Sharpton on March 16, 1954 in Gulfport, Mississippi. He passed away March 3, 1979.

She married Ben H. Call on April 23, 1982 in Soda Springs, Idaho. He passed away on April 25, 2000.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had served as primary teacher, Relief Society teacher, visiting teacher and Temple worker.

She enjoyed reading, knitting, traveling and her grandchildren.

Sheila is survived by two sons and one daughter, John (Brigitte) Pugh of Deland, Florida; Peter (Kelly) Whitaker of Parkersburg, West Virginia; Carol (Nairn) Moore of Bancroft, Idaho. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Phyllis Smale and Sybil Smale and a son-in-law Emery LeRoy Davids.

Services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Bancroft LDS Ward Chapel. The family will visit with friends on Friday morning from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Chesterfield Cemetery.
