Soriah Rae Lunt McCubbins, 23 was called back to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 18, 2023.  She was born on Memorial Day, May 29, 2000 in Cortez, Colorado to parents Wesley and Sherrie Lunt.

Soriah is the oldest of 5 children and grew up in Grace, Idaho where she enjoyed participating in 4-H, music, social dance, and drama.  She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she enjoyed many youth activities and spiritual experiences.  After graduating from Grace High School, she attended Southern Virginia University for a year then served the Lord on a full-time mission in Tempe, Arizona.  After returning home from her mission, she returned to Southern Viriginia University majoring in psychology because she wanted a career focused on serving and helping others.  While at SVU, she met her eternal companion, Matthew McCubbins and was sealed to him in the Washington DC Temple on May 13, 2023.

Soriah had a warm and welcoming personality which you could always see through her constant smile. Her thoughtfulness and love of others was the main motivator behind everything she did, you could often find her serving others in some way big or small. She loved God and his beautiful creations. She and her husband spent most of their free time out in nature capturing the beauty of the world with their cameras. She was an incredibly hard worker and dreamed of being an equine therapist.

Soriah will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  She is survived by her husband, Matthew McCubbins, parents Wesley and Sherrie Lunt, sisters Daysha and Laya, brothers Clayton and Jayden as well as many extended family members.

A Memorial Service was held in Buena Vista, Virginia on December 8, 2023.

Funeral services will be held on December 15 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Chapel, 404 S. Main, Grace, ID  82341.  The family invites all who knew Soriah to come and celebrate her life. Burial will follow in the Turner Cemetery.
