Steven Virsel Daley, 66, of Soda Springs, Idaho passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018.
Steve was born on March 15, 1952 in Prineville, Oregon the son of Virsel Daley, Jr. and Pauline Fern Sunderland. His family moved to Utah and then to Grace, Idaho.
He married Avon Gibson on September 28, 1972.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He participated in the scouting program for many years. He was currently a High Priest and serving as the Ward Clerk.
He enjoyed hunting, shooting guns, raising all sorts of animals, mechanics, farming and wood carving. He also enjoyed reloading, and especially spending time with his many friends and his family members.
He is survived by his wife Avon Daley of Soda Springs, ID, one son and two daughters, Jamie (Corina)Daley, of Saratoga, WY, Danielle (Casey) Smith of Georgetown, ID, Mackenzie (Eric) Weeks of Millville, UT. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, his mother Pauline Daley and a brother Mike Daley, and two sisters, Kathy Mitchell and Becky Lee. He will be missed by everyone who knew him and loved him.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Noon at the Soda Springs Bailey Creek Chapel (361 south 3rd East). Family will visit with friends on Friday evening 6-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Saturday morning from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services.
