Obituary
Sylvester "Syl" Herman Keeven, 89, of Soda Springs passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at his home.
Syl was born on May 29, 1923 in Florissant, Missouri the son of Aloys H. and Josephine Derhake Keeven.
He lived in Florissant MO until 1946 when he moved to South Dakota and later to Wyoming. In 1969 he moved to Lava Hot Springs and then to Soda Springs.
Syl is survived by a brother, Dr. James R. Keeven D.D.S. and four sisters, Sister Marian Keeven, O.S. F., Sister Helen Keeven, C. P.P. S., Rosalie Keeven Mintert Coleman, JoAnn Keeven Schulte Brown Thrasher. Syl is also survived by many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sister Mary John Keeven and seven brothers, Alois B., Francis W., Louis, Leonard J., Maurice J., Anthony D. and Norbert C.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Soda Springs (99 West Center St.) with Rev. Robert C. Irwin presiding. Rosary will be held on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Church.
