In Loving Memory of Thelma Perryman
Thelma Perryman, a devoted mother, grandmother, accomplished nurse, and talented knitter, peacefully passed away at the age of 95, on April 23, 2024.
Born on July 12,1928, Thelma's journey began in Torrington, Wyoming, where she quickly became known for her unwavering dedication and remarkable talents. After graduating from nursing school in Idaho Falls in 1949, she embarked on a remarkable career in healthcare, touching the lives of countless patients with her expertise and professionalism. Thelma's legacy as a nurse extended far beyond the walls of the hospitals she served in; she was a pillar of strength and compassion to all who knew her.
Thelma met Chandler Perryman in Blackfoot Idaho. Chan was working as an orderly at the hospital Thelma was training in, while she was attending nursing school. Chan and Thelma were married in 1949 and were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. They raised their family in Torrington, WY.
As a mother, Thelma provided unwavering support and guidance to her children Barbara,Tom, and Dawna. She instilled in them values of hard work and resilience. She led by example, demonstrating the importance of determination and perseverance in the face of adversity. Her love for her children was boundless, and she took great pride in their accomplishments and successes.
Thelma's role as a grandmother brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Her grandchildren, who lovingly called her Nammer, were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Whether sharing stories, playing games, or teaching them the art of knitting, or sewing, Nammer's presence brought warmth and laughter to their lives, creating lasting memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
In addition to her dedication to nursing and her devotion to her family, Thelma was also known for her exceptional talent with knitting needles and sewing. With skillful hands and a creative eye, she crafted intricate works of art that captivated the hearts of all who beheld them. Her knitted creations were more than just garments; they were tangible expressions of her love and creativity, each stitch woven with care and precision.
Thelma was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served faithfully in all capacities.
She is survived by her daughter Dawna Lott and her husband Jay Lott of Soda Springs, ID and her son Thomas Perryman and his wife Linda Perryman of Boise, ID, 11 Grandchildren, and 25 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in Death by her husband Chandler Perryman and her daughter Barbara Bibbins.
A celebration of Thelma's life will be held on May 2, 2024 at the Soda Springs Stake Center at 12:00. The viewing will begin at 10:30. She will be interred in Valley View Cemetery in Torrington Wyoming.
Thelma will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace, knitting together the heavens with her boundless love and talent.
