Obituary

Theodore "Ted" Barnes, 77 longtime resident of Bancroft, Idaho, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, just three days after the love of his life, Mollie.  Ted and Mollie were married on May 6, 1967, and will celebrate there 57th anniversary together in heaven.  Ted and Mollie made their home in Bancroft, Idaho where they went on to raise two daughters.

Ted enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He loved spending time with his family.  Ted and Mollie spent much of their retired years in the mountains or along a lakeside camping and fishing.  You would always find a huge gathering of family and friends with them.  Ted loved having his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren around.  He wanted to pass down his hobbies and interests to the next generations.  If they weren't hunting or fishing, you would find a ball of some sort in his hand.  He loved to offer his natural ability of playing sports without even realizing it. These times have made memories which will never be forgotten.

Ted loved helping the widows of Bancroft over the years.  It was always sweet to see them wait for him as they knew the time of day he would be walking home from work.  He spent many years working for Caribou County Road and Bridge, which at that time, worked out of the Bancroft shop location.  He was a gentle giant.  He loved to serve those that were lonely.  His kind gentle, yet comical personality will be greatly missed, especially by his family.

He is survived by his, daughter and son-in-law, Dan and Tereca Argyle, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and his brother (Bob and Cheryl Barnes).  He was preceded in death by his wife Mollie, his daughter Krista Lynn Robinson and his parents.
