IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Timothy
Hall
May 1, 1955 – May 13, 2022
Francis Timothy (Tim) Hall, age 67, passed away on May 13, 2022, in Grace, Idaho. He was born May 1, 1955, in Las Vegas, Nevada to Francis McClellan (Frank) Hall and Hazel Arlene Clegg.
Tim grew up in Mesa, Arizona and attended Mesa High School where he was active in sports, playing volleyball, basketball, and was the varsity quarterback on the football team. After graduating, he served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ecuador. He loved his time among the Otavaleño people and spoke of his experiences with them often.
He married Janice Lynn (Jan) Meek in Mesa, Arizona on December 18, 1982, and had an instant family with Jan's children of a previous marriage – Jeromy and Kendra. He worked as a general contractor building homes in Mesa until they moved to Indiana. After settling outside the small town of Bridgeton, Indiana, Tim went back to school and graduated from Indiana State University with his bachelor's degree in elementary education and with his master's in special education. He was a teacher in Brazil, Indiana and Grace, Thatcher, and Pocatello, Idaho for a total of 29 years. He loved teaching and dedicated his life to helping his students progress and excel.
Tim loved to cook and also enjoyed golfing, hiking, fishing, and hunting and truly enjoyed being outdoors. He never lost his skills of building things and was always working on improving the homes he lived in or helping family with finishing basements, building backyard porches, or completing odd jobs that were needed. He loved to teach gospel doctrine, seminary, and primary, which inspired him to take up teaching children as a profession.
Tim is survived by his wife, Jan; children, Jeromy Hall (Pam) and Kendra Hall; and his grandchildren, John, Emily, Olivia, and Grace; and sister, Heidi (Lane) Brinkerhoff. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
Public viewing will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Grace Idaho Stake, 404 N. Main Street, Grace, Idaho.
