Obituary

Dean Thomas "Tom" Ozburn was born to Dean Morgan & Janis Davis Ozburn on November 7, 1987 in Soda Springs, ID where he grew up with the family farm as his play ground. He attended school in Soda Springs and graduated from Soda Springs High School in 2006. He moved to Pocatello, ID and attended ISU's welding program for a year where his love and amazing talent for welding only grew. Tom married Jennifer Ann Dexter on October 3, 2008 in Soda Springs, ID. They were later divorced. He worked at Eagle Eye Produce in Idaho Falls for 3 years and was currently employed by Spudnik in Blackfoot, ID where he lived for one year. He was a loved member of the Soda Springs Baptist Church where he found comfort and a friendship with Pastor David Zimmerman and Jeff Uskoski. Tom enjoyed being a part of the Soda City League t-ball, baseball, basketball soccer and wrestling. He was a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout and a member of horse 4-H. He was the short, quick point guard for TMS basketball team in 7th and 8th grade, and a member of AA & NA. His hobbies included snowboarding, fly fishing/fishing with Dad, and his brothers. Skateboarding, rock chuck and squirrel hunting on the farm, video games that he mastered at a very young age, music, disc golf, horseback riding with Mom but only once a year and welding. Tom was survived by his loving parents, Dean and Janis Ozburn, his girlfriend, Sheena Toupin and her son Luke Toupin who he loved dearly, his Grandmother LaRetta Williams Davis, his brothers and their families, Jeff & Megan Ozburn and their children, Mylez (Miles), Ella and Lukas of Glenrock, WY, Alex Ozburn & Kelsey Sherman and their son Shayden of Soda Springs, ID, and Aunts and Uncles Craig & Melodee Ozburn, Mark & Cindy Ozburn, Curt & Donna Ozburn, Brian & Mary Scoresby, Griff & Sonia Davis, Joe & Nancy Davis, Chris & Misty Davis and many loving cousins around the country & too many Dear Friends to include. He was welcomed home by the Loving and Forgiving arms of God The Father, his grandpa Griffith Thomas Davis and grandparents Harry Dean and Connie Lewis Ozburn. Services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Noon at the Soda Springs High School Auditorium. The family will visit with friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Friday morning from 10-11:30 a.m. at the School prior to services. In Lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to U-Turn for Christ Oregon in Tom's name, (100 Lampman Rd. Gold Hill, OR 97525) and prayers be said for alcoholics and addicts still suffering today. Listen to service
