Traci Lee Hall, 64, passed away unexpectedly at home in Bakersfield, California on August 12, 2024.

Traci was born June 7, 1960, in Soda Springs, ID, to Howard and Karen Thomas. She grew up in Grace, ID on the Thomas Brothers farm. As a young girl, Traci would often be found bottle-feeding calves and being tormented by her brother Kevin Thomas. In 1978, Traci proudly graduated from Grace High School where she was a cheerleader all 4 years.

After high school graduation, Traci attended Utah State University for 1 year before marrying the love of her life, William Roy "Dubs" Hall on November 30, 1979. Dubs and Traci moved to Soda Springs, ID. Seven years later, on December 2, 1986, they were blessed with their only child, Whitney Lee. On July 24, 1987, they moved to Bakersfield, CA where Traci helped Dubs start his own construction company, WR Hall Co.

Traci became heavily involved in any activity Whitney participated in from school to swimming to church and more. In March 2006, Dubs became terminally ill with ALS. She gave everything she had to care for her dying husband. On June 1, 2010, Dubs passed away peacefully in their home in Bakersfield, CA.

In 2012, Traci began working for WinCo Foods store #32 and quickly worked her way up to become the lead bookkeeper. She would arrive at work by 3:30 am and would often work past her scheduled hours. Traci made lifelong friends at WinCo. They would go to LA to see plays together, hang out after work and check in on each other frequently. Her co-workers became family.

Traci loved her grandchildren, Maliya and Isaiah, unconditionally. She loved to talk to them on the phone and hear about their day. When Maliya started taking golf more seriously, Traci started to take an interest in the game. She would watch YouTube videos and read about the rules on Google. She came to 2 of Maliya's tournaments this year and walked 72 holes. Traci also loved vacationing with her grandkids in Carmel, CA. She always called Carmel her heaven on earth.

Traci is preceded in death by her husband, William Roy "Dubs" Hall and her dad, Howard Leo Thomas. She is survived by her only daughter, Whitney, son-in-law Adam and 2 grandchildren, Maliya and Isaiah Green, of Lehi, UT. Traci is also survived by her mother, Karen Ruth Thomas of Grace, ID and brother Kevin and Denise Thomas of Logan, UT.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Grace Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday morning from 10:30 am to 10:55 am at the cemetery prior to the services.
