Obituary

Venda H. Beckstead, 83, of Evanston, Wyoming passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.


She was born on February 1, 1931 in Dayton, Idaho the daughter of Ephriam LeRoy and Edna Claussen Hulse.


Venda married Terrell LeRoy Beckstead on September 17, 1952 in Dayton, Idaho. He passed away on August 4, 1995.


She lived in Preston, ID for 14 years then moved to Grace, ID where she lived until 2007 when she moved to Evanston, WY.


She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was active in the Relief Society.


Venda and her husband owned and operated the Blue Bell Restaurant in Grace, ID for 18 years with her family.


She loved to quilt and loved to play games at the Senior Center in Evanston.


She is survived by one son and two daughters, Kenneth LeRoy & Lori Beckstead of Pocatello, ID, Kathrynn & Mike Elardi of Evanston, WY, and Crystal & Jake Shawcroft of Grace, ID. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and one sister Phyllis Rasmussen, of Nibley, UT. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter Cindy Beckstead, four sisters, June Jones, Lola Shephard, Velma Atkin, Gwen Fish, a brother Herald Hulse and 6 brothers-in -law.


Services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center. The family will visit with friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Church and also on Friday morning from 10-11:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Preston City Cemetery.
