Virgil Thea Roholt, 89, of Grace passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017. Virgil was born on August 27, 1927 in Thatcher, Idaho the son of Nels Peter and Freda E. Paulson Roholt. He lived in Thatcher and Niter and then moved to Jerome at the age of 8. At the age of 18 he moved back to Grace. Virgil married Ila Arlean Skinner on September 1, 1950 in Conda, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on May 29, 1962. He worked for Utah Power and Light for 37 years. Virgil was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had served in various callings including secretary of the young men, 2nd counselor in young men, and activities committee and scout master. He also took care of the church building for many years. His son Brent ordained him a High Priest. He loved working with wood and gardening. Virgil is survived by his wife Ila Arlean Roholt, one son Brent and Vicki Roholt of Vancouver, Washington, and two daughters Carol and Fred Armbrister of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Shirlene and Boyd Brown of Clinton, Utah. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his 4 brothers and 8 sisters. Services will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Grace LDS Stake Center. Family will visit with friends on Tuesday 6-7 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and Wednesday 10-10:45 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Grace Cemetery. Listen to service
