VonCille McLain Lasley, of Boise, Idaho passed away on July 22, 2020.
VonCille was born on August 13, 1947 in Soda Springs, Idaho to Joseph Darrell McLain and VaLoie Jensen McLain. She was the youngest of four children. There was three at home waiting Julia-Faye, Darwin and Roene.
VonCille attended school in Bancroft and graduated from North Gem High School in 1965.
She went to Robert Sturer College of Cosmetology in Salt Lake and graduated in August 1966.
VonCille married Brian Lasley in September of 1966 and they had two daughters, Jennifer and Crissandra and they also have ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She moved to Boise in 1974, where they lived for 5 years. She worked as a billing clerk for St. Alphonsus Hospital until 1978. They moved to Idaho Falls where she worked as a secretary for the Pathologist at the Idaho Falls Consolidated Hospital. In 1983 they moved back to Boise and later that same year they moved to Denver where she was employed with Prudential Insurance as a Medical Insurance Examiner. In 1989 they returned to Boise where she became employed with the State of Idaho as a Program Specialist for the Durable Medical Equipment Program for all the Medicaid patients of Idaho. She retired in 2003. Later she began working as a Patient Financial Rep for MedNow.
She enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. She also liked making jewelry, porcelain dolls, painting, quilting and writing.
VonCille is survived by her husband, Brian Lasley, and two daughters, Jennifer and Crissandra and eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren and sisters, Faye Clark of California, Roene (Max) Butcher of Bancroft, and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and 2 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Bancroft Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to me made to help with expenses.
