Walter Bruce, 80; of Grace passed away Friday, July 24, 2009 at the Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs.

Walter was born August 2, 1928 in French Camp, California the son of George Andrew and Ethelyn Olive Hiles Bruce.

He attended High School in Escalon, CA.
He lived in Tulare, CA for 45 years and the San Joaquin Valley, CA all of his life and moved and lived in Grace, Idaho for 2 months.

Walter married Lorraine Marie Rodrigues on August 21, 1949 in Escalon, CA.

He was a Spiritual being having a human experience.

Walter was a member of the Kiwanis for 45 years and was a Tulare Union High School Band Booster.

He enjoyed music, sports, gardening and loved spending time with family. He also enjoyed traveling and taking pictures of nature.

He is survived by his wife Lorraine and one son and three daughters, Walter Edward Jr. and Bev Bruce of Arnold, CA; Delores M. and Danny Wakefield of Grace, ID; Jeannette A. and Steve Clayton of Oxnard, CA; and M.E. Hue and George Graham of Easton, CA.
Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren , one brother David Bruce of Hanford, CA; and one sister Elsie Strojian of Farmington, CA. He was preceded in death by two sisters Violet Pacheco and Dorothy "Dolly" Wisenhunt.

Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Noon at the Turner Cemetery. Family will meet with friends on Sunday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs prior to going to the Cemetery for Services.
