Warren G. Moore passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011 in the Caribou Memorial Living Center.
He was born in Soda Springs and lived his entire life there. He was born o Albert Franklin Moore and Laura Mabel Dyke on November 15, 1922. He was raised on the family ranch n Bailey Creek and attended School in the Bailey Creek School House.
He married Beulah Mikesell on May 16, 1942. She passed away on January 24, 1986. He then married Pat Stoltenberg on May 18, 1986. She passed away on August 30, 2007.
He was drafted into the U.S. Army on February 15, 1943. He served two years in World War II. He received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
After returning home he worked for Anaconda Mine for 5 1/2 years. Then he leased a ranch in Eight Mile area for 12 years. He also worked part-time for the Fish and Game. He got a full-time job with the Fish and Game as a government trapper and gave up the ranch and moved to Soda Springs. He worked at that job for 20 years and retired in 1984, but he still kept trapping on his own till his health got bad.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snow machining, 4wheeling and trapping. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 8th Ward.
Warren is survived by his daughter, Sharon Smith of Grace, ID; and a son Michael W. and Carolyn Moore of Lebanon, OR; 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers, 2 sisters, his parents and son-in-law.
Services will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011 at Noon at the Soda Springs Hooper LDS Chapel (281 East Hooper Ave). The family will visit with friends on Thursday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Friday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
