Wayne Byron Wheeler joined his beloved sweetheart Emma in heaven on August 17, 2020.

He was born as the second son to Willard and Leona Wheeler on May 20, 1930 in Arco, Idaho. During his childhood he lived in Arco, Moore, Mackey, and Moreland. After graduating from Blackfoot High School, he enrolled at Ricks College. It was here that he met the love of his life Emma Kingsford. They were married for time and all eternity on June 19, 1950 in the Salt Lake LDS temple.

During his lifetime he delivered telegrams, sold Fuller Brush, drove a taxi, and became a farmer, but his favorite titles were "Dad" and "Grandpa".  Over the years these titles were used by many children, grandchildren, foster children, step-grandchildren, or sometimes just kids that needed someone to love them.

Wayne enjoyed woodworking, travel, motorcycles and classic cars especially when he could share one of these things with the people he loved the most.

He had a strong testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved the temple and served as a temple worker in the Logan temple twice a week for over 10 years.  He was a faithful Home Teacher.

Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Emma and two of their children, Dwayne and Kathi. He is survived by their children Dennis, LaDawna, Vicky, Randy, Eldeen, Twyla, Rachael, Kevin, Letitia, David, Delwyn, Mark, Brandee, Hiram, and Alice. He has a total of 17 children, 56 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters. He will be greatly missed.

Because of current circumstances, a graveside service will be held for friends and family members on August 22, 2020 at the Grace Cemetery. A brief viewing will be held at Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs prior to the service from 11:00 to 12:15.
