William Verdell Bowen passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, June 14, 2020.

William "Bill" Verdell Bowen was born October 8, 1932 in Garfield, Idaho to William Earnest and Fern Edith Bowen.

He married Geraldine Bassett on July 19, 1952.  They were married for 68 years and had 5 children.

Bill joined the Armed Forces at the age of 18 and served until 1961.  He worked for Washington Construction as a heavy equipment operator for many years and Mitzel Construction for 2 years before he retired.

Bill enjoyed many things throughout his life.  Being outdoors, hunting, fishing and golfing.  He especially loved laughing with his children and grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his five children, Larry (Cindy) Bowen, Julie (Duane) Graham, Lori Peoples, Michael (Shauna) Bowen all of Soda Springs, Idaho, Ginger Bragg of Afton, Wyoming.  He is also survived by his sisters, Betty (Robert) Perks and Patricia Daniels, a brother Kent (Luella) Ames and 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by hi wife Geraldine Bowen, his father William Earnest Bowen and hi mother Fern Edith Ames and stepfather Arnold Ames and a great grandson.
