William Henry (Bill) Corder

Bill Corder passed away Sunday, October 17 th , 2021 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born in Kellyville, OK to Charles J. and Lola M. Lowery Corder on January 29 th , 1930.  They moved to Roswell, NM when he was still a young man.

Bill was in the Army during the Korean War.  After being honorably discharged he was offered a job in Idaho.  He met the love of his life in Soda Springs, ID, his wife Pat.  That was a partnership that lasted 65 years.

Bill was a heavy duty diesel mechanic at various mines near Soda Springs.  He retired early and he and Pat ran their gravel crushing business for several years after that.

After retirement Bill always had a project of some kind he was tinkering on.

Weekend mornings he and Pat would play guitar and sing to each other.  Bill was musically self-taught and had a fine singing voice.  One of his favorite singers was Marty Robbins and he knew the words and music to all his songs.

He is preceded in death by his wife Pat, his parents and 2 sisters, Betty and Grace and son-in-law Curtis Crane.

Bill is survived by his sons Randy (Zella) Corder, Kevin D. (Beth) Corder, Steven W. Corder, daughter Sharon Corder Crane and sister Bonnie Beadle.  He has 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Per his request he will be cremated and services will be held at a later date.
