William "Bill" Leon Perkins passed away peacefully Thursday, May 11, 2017 in Chesterfield, Idaho at the young age of 52. Bill was born in Soda Springs, Idaho on February 9, 1965 to Rondo W. Perkins and Julie Ann (Finlayson) Perkins. He was first of four children, and was always the apple of his mother's eye. Bill attended the North Gem School district and graduated in May of 1983. While attending high school he loved playing football, and was a proud member of the FFA. He married LaRae Mickelson on November 9, 1984. Together they had 4 beautiful daughters. They were later divorced. In his early years Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes and horses, working on his family's farm, and driving truck. He loved hauling cattle. In his later years he loved being the person that any of his daughters could come to when having a bad day. He was always there to listen and make light of any situation. We will miss him and his quirky sense of humor. Bill is survived by his grandmother, Laura Finlayson, his father, Rondo W Perkins, his four daughters, Mishell (Shaun) Van Orden of Pingree, ID, Melynda Perkins(Tyson Lutz) of Blackfoot, ID, Miranda (Tyler) Asper of Chubbuck, ID, Maurisa (Hayden) Vogler of Blackfoot, ID, two beautiful granddaughters, Jaicee and Stetsyn, and 3 handsome grandsons Greyson, Braxton and Lukas. His sisters Ronda Perkins (Trudy White), Tonya (Grant) Simons, Bobbie (Dave) Garner. He was preceded in death by his mother Julie Ann Perkins, Grandfather Richard A. Finlayson, Grandmother Klea Perkins and Grandfather Maurice Perkins. Services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Noon at the Chesterfield LDS Chapel. Family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs and on Saturday morning from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Chesterfield Cemetery. Listen to service
